Ben Kellet – Regional Champion
Ben won the Youth A (under 16) Regional championship on Saturday over 30 laps at Richard Dunn. He rode a superb race, always in the thick of the action and looked one of the strongest riders throughout. Lewis Sharman, Liverpool Century RC, broke away from a group of 10 other riders at half distance and looked to have the race sewn up but Ben bided his time and set off after the lone leader and caught him with 7 laps to go. He quickly caught the tiring Sharman and rode away from him to solo the last 5 laps to a well deserved victory. This is the first Regional Road Race Championship that Holme Valley have won.
