The Wheelers had a good turn out at the weekend with a string of personal bests for a handful of riders despite the far from favourable conditions. On Saturday they were riding the Yorkshire Road Club 25 mile Time Trial near York.  Rachael Mellor was 2nd fastest lady with a 1.04.17. Steve Rimmer just pipped Richard Hey with a 58.25 and 58.39 respectively.

On Sunday Richard turned the table with a 21.30 followed by Steve with 21.43. Congratulations to Steve for an excellent pb and Gary Terry and Rachael Mellor who also recorded personals.

The Sovereign 10 league has a seen a change at the head of the leader board partly due to holidays but mainly Steve Rimmer’s improving form. Steve now leads the table with 90 points with Richard Hey in 2nd place with 83.

With only three more evenings competition, it will go right down to the wire.

In the Juvenile section the brother’s Kellet are making their mark alternating between the 10s and the White Rose Youth League.  Ben, now in his 2nd season continues to improve most weeks and was just 5 seconds short of a 27 on Wednesday recording 28.05.  Brother, James was setting his own pattern of PBs with a 35.25 in only his 3rd event.
