Sovereign 10 Mile Time Trial Competition 2008
The Holme Valley Wheeler’s Sovereign 10 Mile Time Trial series starts for the 2008 summer on May 7th. £400 of prize money is available to a range of riders from juveniles to veterans.
Entries are open to 1st and 2nd claim riders and will cost £3 per race. All 18 events count, the winner will be the person with the most points at the end of the competition.
First event starts at 7pm, all others at 7.30pm [except 4th June - see below].
Riders have to be either 1st or 2nd claim members of the Holme Valley Wheelers. 2nd claim membership costs £5: membership forms will be available at the start and are current available on-line to save you time on the night. Proof of 1st claim membership will be required for insurance purposes.
Guests can ride one event without 2nd claim membership as long as they are a member of a CTT affiliated cycling club.
How the points are awarded:
The winner of each event, 10 points
All riders within 1 minute of the winners time, 9 points
All riders between 1 and 2 minutes of the winners time, 8 points
All riders between 2 and 3 minutes of the winners time, 7 points
and so forth down to 1 point in minute divisions (to get 1 point you need to be within 9 minutes of the winner).

In addition the event on the 4th of June is an Open Event being run as part of the Lakes and Lancs Sporting Course Competition (SPOCO).
